A weekly peek inside Atlanta’s free gay nightlife mags.
David Atlanta talks with style aficionado Lloyd Boston, whose new show debuts tonight on Fine Living Network.
As much as I wanted to hijack the man himself to give my collection a professional once-over, I figured that probing for advice instead would be the best bet.
“What I learned most from taping the show,” he reveals, “is that people just really need to edit. Most think they have to keep buying clothes to look stylish, when it’s very much the reverse. You just need an objective opinion once and awhile, a best friend in fashion, whose opinion and style you respect, and then take turns editing with each other once or twice a year.”
Also inside is Ryan Lee’s take on the deeper meaning of booty calls and Topher Payne’s family reunion of sorts in Mississippi.
Gaydar Atlanta celebrates the 22nd anniversary of the Eagle, which happens to be this weekend, with a cigar chomping, burly hottie on the cover. We’d show it to you here, but it’s not yet on their website. The issue also includes plenty of bar pics and a shout out from drag personality Mary Edith Pitts, whose 30th running of the Armorettes’ Easter Drag Races on Sunday raised more than $1,500.
