Maybe tapping the keg and drinking beer had the Woofs Wackers a little confused. But the gay softball team held a beer bust Saturday around the Final Four – that’s two basketball games.
Whatever. The Hotlanta Softball League team made it work in the comfortable confines of Woof’s with the games plastered on scores of wall-mounted big screens. They talked about softball anyway, dished out Jell-O Shots and pitched raffle tickets.
The team competes in HSL’s Open D Division and is off to a sluggish 1-3 start. But it’s a long season of Sunday games, so there’s room to creep up in the standings.
The Wackers weren’t the only HSL team busting some beer on Saturday. The Wet Demons held their 5th Annual Spring Fling Beer Bust on the patio of Joe’s, hosting a packed crowd enjoying the sunny afternoon. Translation: Patio plus packed crowd on a sunny day in Midtown equals lots of cute guys. View the pics. Fortunately, the Joe’s event came after a restaurant cleanup that scrubbed the mold from the ice machine.
