Joining Hearts’ 25th anniversary year came to a close on Sunday with one more cocktail fundraiser to round out a big year of donations with a toy drive benefiting the families of Jerusalem House and AID Atlanta’s teen program.
The holiday gathering at the home of Owen Halpern was a festive affair with complimentary cocktails, catered hors d’oeuvres and good company. All of it cost attendees just a toy or homegoods item, a $25 gift card or cash so that gay Atlanta could give one last time to the group’s two beneficiaries.
Wish List tops off a year that has already seen a $250,000 donation from fundraisers of every possible kind that started as early as Valentine’s Day and included Joining Hearts 25th namesake main event, gay Atlanta’s biggest summer pool party (view photos).
And they’re already gearing up for next year. You can go contribute to Joining Hearts and become a volunteer or sponsor any time.
