What a night: Hydrate returns to W Thursdays

imageOne of the big weekly events last year, the Hydrate Thursdays party is back for the fabulous and the fabulous-adjacent at the W Midtown just in time for spring. The drink specials start flowing Thursday.

“Now that spring has arrived in Atlanta, I thought it was time to bring the guys back outside,” says Chris Coleman (top photo), the mastermind behind so many parties, including the winter’s Blur parties at Halo and last year’s Hydrate phenomenon.

Drink specials for kick-off night on Thursday, April 1 include $5 bottles, $7 cocktails and $10 “Oh So Fabulous” martinis all in the luxurious surroundings of the W and its outdoor patio with never a cover charge in sight. But what would a Coleman event be without something even more special?

imageIn addition to the guys (see a photo set from last year’s Hydrate), what would a big gay kickoff event be without a fashion show? That’s right, the Drew Lewis guys are sending hotties down the runway in the latest spring and summer gear as part of Hydrate’s opening night.

What? You need more? OK fine: How about two weekend pass giveaways to Gay Days 2010 in Orlando? That’s part of the plan this week, too. Greedy.

And the goodies won’t stop after opening night. Something special will go down each Thursday, and we don’t just mean the cocktails you’ll knock back. Coleman promises special guests, W room giveaways, Bliss Spa giveaways and celebrity “stop bys.”

Start planning your dress-to-impress-without-looking-like-you’re-trying-too-hard outfit now, and make way for the W this Thursday for the return of one of gay Atlanta’s favorite events.
