When the Wet Demons host a beer bust, it means a couple of things: The venue is well stocked with beer, there are plenty of sleeveless shirts and the gay softball season has arrived.
The team, which plays in the Hotlanta Softball League, helped fill Joe’s on Juniper on Saturday for its Season Kick-off Beer Bust.
The annual event is ostensibly a fundraiser as the team prepares to open the season. (That happens on Sunday as the league hosts opening ceremonies for its 30th season at 12 p.m.)
But it also serves as a fun afternoon of talking softball, knocking back drinks and enjoying the visual results of the team’s off-season workout regime. With tunes from DJ Travis Roache, who also plays outfield for the Wet Demons.
And for fans of the team, you can catch them in action — on the softball diamond — Sunday at 1 p.m.
