Welcome to the new Gaytlsports

Things are looking a little different around Gaytlsports these days.

Thanks to the success of this little gay sports blog that could — that means you folks who come back day after day to catch up on what’s making news in the local gay sports scene — it’s been developed and woven into a new web site called Project Q Atlanta. The new site underwent a soft or beta launch on Thursday, meaning you’ve probably been redirected fom gaytlsports.com/blog1 to this spot, its new home.

The sports blog will continue to be your daily stop for developments in the gay sports scene in Atlanta as well as the usual snarky take on gay twists in the larger sports scene in town.

And as that continues, Project Q Atlanta will continue to develop and work out the kinks and growing pains associated with launching any new web site and blog. Stay with us — Project Q Atlanta will formally kick off in a matter of days. In the meantime, poke around the site and take advantge of the chance to preview what’s ahead and let me know what you think. Same gay sports coverage you’ve come to expect, but wrapped in a bigger and better package with more than sports coverage.

As we ramp up for the launch of Project Q Atlanta, you’ll see that some of the holes will be filled in, including Events listings and Guides to business, community and nightlife organizations. There’s also PQA Today, a new blog focusing on gay happenings in Atlanta. (Think gay sports blog but without the sports.)

If you’re one of the many Gaytlsports enthusiasts who enjoy the blog’s photo galleries, those are now here, too. No more hopping off to another site. You can go right here instead.

So, sit back and continue to enjoy your gay sports fix. Pardon the construction going on around you. But it’s progress and you’ll soon be enjoying all that Project Q Atlanta has to offer.

Thanks for reading.
