SOFTBALL: The Decatur Women’s Sports League continues its fall season on Friday — weather permitting — beginning at 6 p.m. Games take place at Kelly C. Cofer Park in Tucker.
TAYLOR DANE: The singer (photo) returns to Atlanta with a performance at the Fox Theatre’s Egyptian Ballroom on Friday. She’s coming with her dancers and singers to pull tracks from “Satisfied,” released in February, and other CDs. The event is the first for the newly formed gay Navigation. Concert starts at 8 p.m.
QUEER LITERATURE: The Atlanta Queer Literary Festival continues Friday and throughout the weekend. There are readings at the Atlanta-Fulton County Library downtown, Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse and Charis Books & More. On Saturday, there are poetry, prose and theater workshops (and more readings) and Sunday includes a closing event at Eyedrum Gallery. Check the full schedule here and read a preview here.
AIDS WALK: The 18th annual AIDS Walk Atlanta hopes to raise $1 million on Sunday for AID Atlanta and nine other local beneficiaries. The event steps off from Grady High School and 10th Street. A 5K run begins at 1:45 p.m. and the walk steps off at 2 p.m.
