GAMING: OutlantaCon, a new group for gay gamers, hosts a one-day gaming event on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. It’s an entire day devoted, mostly, to gaming, including role-playing, strategy, board and card games. Admission is $10.
HIKE: The Women’s Outdoor Network heads to historic Oakland Cemetery on Saturday for a tour. The event begins at 9:45 a.m.
CONTRA DANCE: The Quicksilver Country Dancers line up for their monthly gender-free Contra Dance on Saturday. The event begins with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m., a newcomer’s orientation at 7:30 p.m and the dance at 8 p.m. The costs is $9.
SUNDAY BRUNCH: The folks behind the popular Social Tuesdays are offering a new event on Sunday — brunch. Salvation Sundays launches this week at Maxim Prime at the Glenn Hotel, the site of a Social Tuesdays event on Oct. 14, with the theme “The Obama Victory Disco Brunch.” Brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and specials include $5 Bloody Marys and $15 bottomless Mimosas.
