QUEER FICTION: “A Visitation of Spirits” by Randall Kenan is up for discussion today at the Queer Literary Fiction Book Group at Charis Books & More. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday to discuss books that feature queer characters and storylines. 7 p.m.
PANSY’S BOOK: Jon Ginoli, the gay founder of Pansy Division, discusses “Deflowered: My Life in Pansy Division” during a stop at Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse. The book follows the band from its inception in San Francisco, to its search for a music label and a permanent drummer to its current status as indie rock icons. 7:30 p.m.
HONEY: The place for alterna-queers — Mary’s in East Atlanta — continues its new Wednesday event at 8 p.m. The Honey Pot caters to the hirsue and the pursuit of the hirsute. Look it up; we had to. There’s also indie tunes old and new with DJ Slumberjack. 8 p.m.
PINK FILMS: The Atlanta Film Festival continues its Pink Peach offerings of LGBT flicks at the Midtown Art Cinema today with “Greek Pete,” which delves into the world of rent boys. 5 p.m. Also showing is “Paolo,” a film that follows a shy boy growing up in Peru who is forced to repress his feminine side. 7:30 p.m.
