Wednesday: Seven gay things to do tonight

THE A LIST: A new networking event debuts in Atlanta tonight. Mack’s A List, which made its name in South Florida, brings its “gay-owned, straight-friendly” business networking to Shout. 6 p.m. $10

TEEN FORUMS: YouthPride, hosts two forums for its gay youth. Teen Forum targets those ages 13-18, while the Young Adult Forum is for those ages 18-24. Both groups begin at 6:30 p.m.

imageTRAVEL GUIDE: Writer Paul Rubio (photo) stops at Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse to celebrate the publication of his new travel guide, “Out Traveler South Florida.” Experience South Florida’s spicy gay culture and travel the trendy Lincoln Road in South Beach all the way to the Gay Days at Disney World. Rubio’s thorough new guide includes the Keys, Orlando, and the Tampa Bay Area. 7:30 p.m.

PURPLE DRESS: The Atlanta Bucks Rugby Football Club continues its recruitment efforts for the upcoming Purple Dress Run. Today, they set up at Blake’s on the Park from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

HONEY: The place for alterna-queers — Mary’s in East Atlanta — continues its new Wednesday event at 8 p.m. The Honey Pot DJ Slumberjack provides the indie tunes, old and new, and there’s bound to be drink specials befitting the venue.

DRESS CODE: It’s Boys Night Out at the Heretic, so put on some leather, military wear, latex, western wear (or go bare chested) to step onto the dance floor at the Heretic; otherwise you’ll be relegated to the pub and patio areas. 10 p.m.
