UPDATE NOV. 6 | Write-in votes gun for ‘Bestest’ gay Atlantans

You’ve voted for the best. Three times. Now it’s time for the bestest. We round up winners from Atlanta’s bounty of gay “Best of” voting and pit them against each other in a grudge match for you to settle the score once and for all. So we can party.

Well, sort of a grudge match. The ubiquitous annual awards in GA Voice, David magazine and Fenuxe left some obvious winners and a few contested categories, so we drew the natural conclusion: Let’s party. Of course we did.

With tongues planted firmly in cheek, we keep the voting simple and fun: Only the top categories, a short campaign season and quick-and-easy voting. Our only endgame is a kickass, everyone-invited, ahem, Bestest Bash at Jungle on Nov. 15. We did create one new category: Bestest of the Bestest of the Best. It’s a face-off between the biggest vote wranglers in multiple categories across all three local LGBT print media.

Vote below now and often through Monday, Nov. 12 at midnight. And there’s a twist. Click one of the already-anointed winners or launch a grassroots campaign for your own choice with a write-in vote. You don’t have to vote in every category, and you can do it as frequently as you’d like. Campaigners, be sure to share to this page with friends or fans.

Get to it below. We’ll reveal the results on Nov. 15 at the Bestest of the Best of Gay Atlanta Bash. RSVP and make plans to join Project Q, the Bestest honorees, and the rest of our queer village in the new Jungle Room at Jungle with DJ Diablo Rojo — yes, that ManShaft badass — specialty Q-tails, light bites by Radial Cafe and other surprises.
