In case six gay things to do today isn’t enough, we’ve got one more: A whole bunch of short films from the Atlanta Film Festival.
Somehow, we missed that in our event sweep this morning. So here goes.
Pink Peach, the film festival’s LGBT showings, continues tonight with five shorts beginning at 9:45 p.m. At a total of 81 minutes, don’t be too concerned with staying out late.
“Get Happy”

“Get Happy” is a coming of age musical extravaganza documentary about a childraised by his mother and grandmother who allowed him to express himself in a most unconventional way.
“James”
Director: Connor Clements, Ireland and United Kingdom, 18minutes
When James realizes long buried secrets can lead to poor family relations, he feels it’s time to confide with his only friend a secret of his own.
“The Library”
Director: Joshua Lim, USA, 7 minutes
A library patron has a brief furtive encounter with a fellow classmate.
“Sombrero”
Director: Nathaniel Atcheson, U.S. 12 minutes
James and Raymond are two men looking for a connection in life. They meet for a blind date in a Mexican restaurant, but as the two men learn more about each other, their rocky date takes an unexpected turn towards the absurd.
