Tons of fun and love at ailing Amorette benefit

Amber Divine has spent the last 25 years giving it all she’s got to the Armorettes and their ongoing camp drag mission against HIV/AIDS. As she faces a health crisis, a Sunday fundraiser was a chance for gay Atlanta to give back to her.

Sister Armorette emeriti Wild Cherry Sucret (top image left) and Knomie Moore (right) emceed a special early show to help Divine with medical expenses on Sunday at Burkhart’s. Even before the regular weekly show got underway, queens were tucking their looks and fans were tucking dollar bills into them for the cause. Some $600 was donated during the event.
