LOVE POTION: It’s the last night to screen the film “Were the World Mine” at Midtown Art Cinema. The movie centers on a gay teen who discovers a love potion after being cast as Puck in his high school play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Southern Voice recently talked with director Tom Gustafson. SHUT UP: Drag icon Varla Jean Merman is in Atlanta for a brief run of “Shut Up, Sweet Charlotte” at the 14th Street Playhouse. The show continues Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
