BLACK TIE: Organizers of the 22nd Annual Atlanta Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner & Silent Auction next month are hosting their final pre-event reception tonight. Nosh on hors d’oeuvres and learn more about the May 2 event during the reception at 1010 Midtown. 7 p.m.

CIVIL RIGHTS: The co-authors of “Sacred Places: A Guide to Civil Rights Sites in Atlanta” pop into Charis Books & More. Harry Lefever and Michael Page will talk about their snapshot of the important civil rights events in the city, the tours the book is organized around and their experiences in compiling it. 7:30 p.m.

COCKTAILS: The guys behind Social Tuesdays branch out with Hydrate Thursdays at the W Midtown’s Living Room. The event kicks off at 9 p.m.

COCKTAILS II: Thursday Night Cocktail continues its successful run inside the downstairs bar at Trois. The drinks start pouring at 9:30 p.m.
