Did you see those sexy rock climbers in the Atlanta Pride parade and think to yourself either, “I want to do that”? Now you’ve got your chance.
If you’ve never tried climbing, but want to, and want to do it in a place where everyone in the class is gay (or L, B and T) like you, try the Georgia Dyno’mos Climbing 101 on Nov. 1.
But hurry — registration is due by Monday. From the club’s info page:
On November 1st, at 8pm, we will be doing a BIG beginner class at Adrenaline climbing gym. And we want this one to count y’all! So carpool up to Suwanee from downtown Atlanta with Alex if you have to, because it may be another month before we do another beginner class!
You must sign up by Oct. 25. Send your phone number, name, and e-mail address to us {encode=”[email protected]” title=”via e-mail”} if you want to attend, and call Alex at 404 862 6999 to confirm. The gym’s fee is $15, which includes equipment and training in more devices than the other beginner classes.
The Dyno’mos involved are volunteers and don’t receive any payment or kickbacks, so consider buying them some ice cream.
One of the club’s volunteers, Alex Rowland, notes that for LGBT parents and guardians, “this class is open to kids so it could be a great way to have fun with your family in an LGBT friendly setting.” And the group promises not to talk about Nathan Deal, even if he pisses them off again.
