This scruffy hunk will get you watching Houston news

Forget sweeps. If KTRK keeps hiring more news hunks like this guy, the station will be awash in gay Houston viewers.

Meet John Fenoglio, the Houston native who returned home last month when he was hired by KTRK. He's spent the past few years at media outlets in California and Chicago, including the last year at KRON in San Francisco.

Gay Houston viewers took note of Fenoglio last week as he hit the airwaves stepping over debris left behind in the wake of Houston's massive flooding. Whether in Meyerland or Wharton, viewers soaked him up. And Fenoglio did it all with facial scruff and a tuft of hair peeking above the unbuttoned top of his shirt. Grrr.
