One of Georgia's frothy-mouthed homophobes is riled up about UGA considering the expansion of its anti-discrimination policies to include gender identity. It's all about biology, don't you see?

Sue Ella Deadwyler, editor of the ironically named Georgia Insight Newsletter, cranked up her hate-filled bullhorn to spew out this:

“It is a biological fact we are all male and female,” Deadwyler said. Protection against discrimination based on sex covers everyone, and no type of behavior should be elevated to that status, she said.

Uh-huh. Deadwyler appears to be the only person opposed to the expansion, according to the Telegraph. She spoke out as the university considers revising their anti-bias policy to put gender identity on par with other protected categories including race, sex and religion.

Supporters acknowledge the change is a small one and doesn't create new protection but said it speaks volumes about the University of Georgia community to current and potential students or faculty. It also brings the Athens campus, located about 60 miles northeast of Atlanta, in line with other universities.

Georgia Tech, Clayton State and Georgia Perimeter include gender identity in campus anti-discrimination polices, the Telegraph says. UGA President Jere Morehead must OK the policy change. A spokesperson said he hasn't reviewed the proposal.

Oh, Sue Ella. She's not a fan of anti-bias policies. She gained her anti-gay fame in 2012 when she said legislation that would protect state employees from bias based on gender identity and sexual orientation was just a ruse to protect pedophiles, cross-dressers and people who engage in bestiality and necrophilia.
