What's the point of a mid-century ranch home without a second floor and a bar tucked underneath the stairs? Not much, if you ask this gay Atlanta couple about their Morningside home. So Jim Jones and Mike Sanders renovated to add those features and transform their ranch house into a home fit for, well, queens. Really, every gay home needs a full service bar. Their efforts caught the eye of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's gay-friendly Private Quarters. Jones and Sanders pitch their design aesthetic as sensible and traditional. Translation? No deer heads above the bed or blown glass butterfly sculptures but snazzy enough to make the straight neighbors jealous that they can't do better.
Create a monochromatic color scheme (beige and brown are dominant in this home), and use accent colors in the furniture, artwork, accessories and even countertops to give a punch of color. You;ll find the best part on the second floor. It's a marble tile bathroom with a massive shower big enough to shoot the next Michael Lucas porn scene. View the full album via AJC by Christopher Oquendo
