Midway Church in Villa Rica, with the help of a highway billboard, hopes to convince passers-by to “Discover Acceptance.” How soon before they discover Midway’s bastardized version of “acceptance” is more about changing their sexual orientation than welcoming them with open arms? Bearracuda beats dance through Heretic [photos]

Bearracuda turned out the crowd again on Saturday with DJ Matt Consola packing the Heretic for a long night of beats for this bear dance party. Gay couple robbed in Old Fourth Ward apartment

A lesbian couple was robbed in their Old Fourth Ward apartment above their Sugar Coated Radical candy store early Thursday as their two children watched, an incident just eight hours after a murder in the same building. Taria Camerino had to quickly gather her partner, Ashley Hinson, and children, lock the door to their bedroom and wait for what came next. Read the full post.

Georgia’s new anti-gay Hater-in-Chief

Tanya Ditty eclipsed the Gold Dome’s other anti-gay haters on Tuesday to take center stage as the latest frothy-mouthed bigot to walk the halls of the Georgia State Capitol. Ditty, state director of Concerned Women for America of Georgia, spewed vitriol against a bill that would ban discrimination against the state’s LGBT employees. Readers went ballistic, providing proof that Ditty’s history of anti-gay bigotry knows no limits. Read the full post.

Did gay beating victim taunt attackers?

Some members of a gay group that initially supported a gay Atlanta man who was beaten are now cozying up to the attorney of one of the suspects and alleging that the victim was taunting his attackers before the Feb. 4 incident.
