Friday, July 12
Summer Thang Swimsuit Contest. One of the signature events with a singular spin you can only get @ Mary’s, 10 p.m.
Atlanta Comic Con. Get ready, LGBTQ comic book fans. One of your biggest weekends of the year is here @ World Congress Center, all weekend.
Better Neon Horror Buzz. Two great t-shirt tastes that taste great together. Celebrate the collaboration release party of local artists Buzz Busbee of A Better Buzz and Brad Gibson of Neon Horror (and Q’s advice column illustrator!) @ Mary’s, 7 p.m.
F**king the Patriarchy. The Queerly Beloved Revue of queens, kings and burlesque artists joins with Secret City @ Red Light Café, 8 p.m.
LGBTQ Artist Exhibit at Atlanta City Hall. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ office recognizes LGBTQ artists and LGBTQ-inspired art in the Mayor’s Gallery. The works of 20 artists were selected for the exhibit open to the public Monday through Friday @ Atlanta City Hall, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. through Aug. 26.
The Other Show. Edie Cheezburger, Jaye Lish and the cast bring their brand of drag to their new home @ Midtown Moon, 9 p.m.
Latin Dance Party with DJ Moose kicks off the weekend @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.
Celestial Friday with Celeste Holmes puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars. Don’t forget Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.
Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.
Fresh Fish Friday & Moonlight Cabaret. The new faces of Fresh Fish drag show wrap your week, then the drag eleganza of Moonlight Cabaret starts the weekend @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Fem Friday. Get your weekend started with DJ beats, performances and scores of women in Midtown’s home for Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.
Saturday, July 13
Woofs Soft Reopening (middle photo). Well that didn’t take long! Atlanta’s gay sports bar has a new home on Plasters Avenue, and they are open and pouring again @ Woofs, 12 noon. If you’ve been under a rock, they aren’t on Piedmont any more.
Atlanta Bucks Sweet 16. The local gay rugby squad throws down in honor of a milestone birthday @ Midtown Moon, 2 p.m.
#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of the party as the sun drops @ Mary’s, 2:30 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.
Summertime. The livin’ is easy in this juried group photography exhibit, including “Jimmy on Float in Southampton NY” by Gary Beeber @ Atlanta Photography Group, 3 p.m. reception, hangs through Aug. 17.

Stonewall Soul. Rustin-Lorde ATL hosts a “rhetorical riot and party @ ArtsXchange, 7 p.m.
Lady Clementine’s Fantastic Party. The queer-led musical act debuts its new short film for the song “Worthy of Our Love” during the Bastille Day celebrations @ Paris on Ponce, 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Armorettes Backroom Burlesque. The monthly camp drag charity show @ Heretic, 8 p.m.
Ruby’s Redd Light District & Moonlight Cabaret. Queens on the scene @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m. and 11p.m.
Hannah Thomas. Local loved lesbian lyricist returns to the stage behind her new LP “Fault Line” @ Eddie’s Attic, 9 p.m.
Thiago Oliveira. The international sensation provides the backbeat for the boys and booze @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Sunday Service (bottom photo). DJs Vicki Powell and Brian Rojas take over the shenanigans @ Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room, 7 p.m.
Mr. Turk Poolside. Fun fashion show and cocktails to benefit the gay-run Doggies on the Catwalk @ lilli Midtown, 1 p.m.
Super-Sized Sunday. First, it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast @ Blake's, 8:30 p.m.
Sporty Sunday Funday. Games and matches on screen, plus all the guys to watch them with @ Woofs, 12 noon.
Drag BrunchTheatre. The Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.
Heifer Review. Ruby Redd corrals the queens on the patio, this week with the bonus of being HSL’s Extra Inning Beer Bust @ Joe’s on Juniper, 1 p.m.
