An extended staycation over the long weekend is just what the doctor ordered. From specials from social gatherings to annual tournaments, the LGBTQ-ATL turns out the holigay. There’s plenty for queers not leaving town in the Gay Exodus.

Friday, May 24

Atlanta United Watch Party (top photo). The local LGBT pro-soccer fan club All Stripes checks out the away game @ Georgia Beer Garden, 9 p.m. The game is also on [email protected] Woofs, 9 p.m.

Social Friday Dinner. The LGBTQ mentors and -tees of Belong (formerly Rainbros) eat a bite @ Roxx, 7 p.m.

Sangria Friday. Specialty drinks, all the games and matchups on the screens, and all the sporty gays to watch it with @ Woofs, 5 p.m.

Atlanta Dream Home Opener. The hometown WNBA squad takes on Dallas with Q cover queer and ice cream impresario Angel McCoughtry leading the charge @ State Farm Arena, 7:30 p.m. Read McCoughtry’s Q interview and photo shoot.

The Cake. Baker’s rights vs. gay rights, ripped from the headlines and staged for your entertainment @ Horizon Theatre, 8 p.m. Runs through June 23.

The Other Show. Edie Cheezburger, Jaye Lish and the cast bring their brand of drag to their new home @ Midtown Moon, 9 p.m. 

Queer Bait. Party with the East Atlanta cool kids @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Chunk. DJs Marceaux Marceaux (Memphis) and Cakes (NOLA) help Vicki Powell celebrate thicc-ness with Deep South @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Cruise Control. DJ Mister Richard kicks off the weekend @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Celestial Friday. Celeste Holmes puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars. Don’t forget Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Fresh Fish Friday & Moonlight Cabaret. Early drag to wrap your week and drag eleganza fabulosity to start the weekend @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Drrty Divas. Hit them up for boys, booze, beats and Atlanta's hottest queens hosted by Destiny Brooks @ Ten, 10 p.m.

Vibe Pride Weekend. Get your LGBTQ weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Saturday, May 25

Big Peach (second photo). Hotlanta Softball League hosts the annual national tournament with games by day and parties by night, centered @ Crown Plaza Midtown, all weekend. The Big Peach Welcome Wagon rolls out as one of many afters @ Woofs, 3 p.m.

Decatur Arts Festival. From camp crafts to finer works, an artist market with something for every L, G, B, T and Q goes down @ Decatur Square, all day.

Friends & Neighbors Day Fest. Those creative minds at Arbitrary Living come outside in a collaboration with photobooth, live music, pop-up market, dranks and live music @ Old Fourth Ward Park Amphitheatre, 2 p.m.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of the party as the sun drops @ Mary’s, 2:30 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girlsentertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

Outworlders Movie Night: Destroy All Monsters! and Aliens. It’s a double creature feature with the local LGBTQ sci-fi/fantasy group @ private residence, 7 p.m.

Comedy Clap Back. Comics tell jokes about groups that they are NOT part of with a panel of comedians representing that group sitting in judgment and clapping back after each set @ Relapse Theatre, 8 p.m.

Fantasy Girls. The queens you love doing what you love cabaret [email protected] Ten, 9 p.m. 

Bear Invasion. DJ Eric James beats down a no-cover holigay weekend special @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

DJ Moose: We All Love 80s, 90s, 00s kicks Saturday into high [email protected] Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m. 

Vibe Pride Weekend. There is something going on every day this holigay @ My Sister’s Room, 10 p.m.

Pop! Popup drag and Popup men werqs Saturday night into a frenzy @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

Queeriety Backroom. The very queer, very adult comedy hour you didn’t know you needed with Molly Rimswell playing host @ Village Theatre, 11 p.m.

Moonlight Cabaret. Queens on the scene @ Midtown Moon, 11p.m.

Xion Afterhours. DJ Karlitos moves you ‘til sunrise @ BJ Roosters, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Sunday, May 26

Memorial Sunday Patio Party (third photo). DJ Mike Pope and Angelica D’Paige raise funds for Joining Hearts with your barbecue-beer bust coins. Frozen t-shirt contest, bubble butt contest and more outside @ Heretic, 3 p.m. It’s far from over, either. Stay put for the Big Peach Victory Party, 6 p.m. and the DJ Kidd Madonny Memorial Dance, 9 p.m. Too many links? Go here. Sit. Stay.

Midtown Rouge. First, it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde @ Blake's, 8:30 p.m.

Sporty Sunday Funday. Games and matches on screen, plus all the guys to watch them with @ Woofs, 12 noon.

Drag Brunch Theatre. The Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Madams, Marys & Mimosas serves drag, brunch and drink specials @ Ten Atlanta, 1 p.m. Sit. Stay. The Sunday Fundayweekly tradition of outdoor dudes, DJs and drinks, 4 p.m. The fun flows directly into Beach Party on the Patio, wherein DJ Jay McCracken returns to his hometown for an outdoor swimwear set @ Ten, 7 p.m.

Revival. Gospel Brunch has a whole new look, benefiting Rainbow House @ Midtown Moon, 3 p.m.

Tasselcade. Uh oh, y’all. It’s “a burlesque smackdown” with the always queer inclusive Glitter Goddess Productions. Performances include the one-and-only Coco Rose @ Red Light Café, 5 p.m.

Junk. DJ Cakes from Friday’s Chunk party stays in the ATL and just keeps spinning @ Mary’s, 8 p.m.

Armorettes. The camp drag crazies with the hearts of gold against AIDS are in their 41st year of weekly shows @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m. Sit tight. It's Cherry Bomb with Wild Cherry Sucret coralling the queens, 11 p.m.

Pop Battle. DJ Fernando wants you to pop out since you’re off work tomorrow @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Monday, May 27

SIN. Service Industry Night was never quite like it is with queerly beloved DJs Zaida (bottom photo), Esme, Helix and friends @ Mother Bar, 10 p.m.
