Deck your halls and sleigh those bells, because the LGBT-ATL is in full holiday mode. Primp and prep yourself for shows, soirees and special events that put the Ho in your ho-li-gays.

Friday, Dec. 9

OurSong: Flashes of Light (top photo). Atlanta’s gay and lesbian mixed chorus performs its holiday show @ First Baptist Church of Decatur, 8 p.m. Saturday show too.

“The Santaland Diaries.” The 18th year of Harold Leaver as David Sedaris’ snarky department store elf, kicks off @ Horizon Theatre, 8 p.m. Runs through Dec. 31.

“Let Nothing You Dismay.” Gay Atlanta playwright Topher Payne’s holiday play returns @ Stage Door Players, 8 p.m. Runs through Dec. 18.

Purple Party Toy Drive. It’s a birthday party for Theresa Thacker, but go for the giving. And the five DJs under one roof. Wear purple. All of it benefits CIA Communities in Action @ Studio 630, 8 p.m.

Baddest Bitch. The East Atlanta queers do their monthly tribute to an alterna-diva they love, and this time it’s Kate Bush @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

The Other Show. Come to the unique weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast and special guests that always pack a surprise @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m

Pump. When one word is all you need to kick off the weekend with a man-to-man dance party, you betta Pump, 10 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Deadly Vixens puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 9 p.m.

Femme Fatale puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Friday Night Dance Party. Another weekly way to kick off your weekend just hit 10th Street. See what you can get into @ G’s, 10 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Crush Friday turns up the volume on its weekly gay Latin party with stage shows and dancing into the wee hours @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Resident DJs Scott and Mikey take you deep into the night with $5 Fridays @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Foreplay Afterhours keeps you dancing late. Really late @ Tokyo Valentino, 1 a.m. – 5 a.m.


Saturday, Dec. 10

Atlanta Santa Speedo Run (middle photo). “Wear a little, give a lot,” and the gay boys do. Speedos with holiday hats run through the frigid streets to benefit CHRIS 180 (formerly CHRIS Kids) @ Manuel’s Tavern, 12 noon.

Toy Party. For the 14th year, For The Kid In All Of Us throws its holiday mixer for thousands of gay toy-givers to needy children. Bring a toy for food, fun and friends @ AmericasMart3, 6:30 p.m. Then take in the official after party with the 4th Annual Snow Ball @ Ten

Charis Holiday Party. Indie crafts, free gift wrapping, homemade cookies and 10 percent off say happy holidays with the queer gals @ Charis Books & More, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Twisted Toyland. Fetish and adult toys for the holiday gifts you need from members of Panther L/L, Onyx and Onyx Pearls Southeast to benefit MISTER Center @ Jungle, 12 noon – 6 p.m.

HIV/AIDS Havdallah. Rabbi Laurence Rosenthal and Pastor Michael Piazza offer healing and memorial with music by Sunmoon Pie and members of the music department at Virginia Highland Church @ Ahavath Achim Synagogue, 6:30 p.m.

#Daydrunk: Punk + Funk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of tonight’s party @ Mary’s, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.

DJ Eric. It’s a leatherman dance party and Southern Bears Bar Night @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Synergy turns up the volume on Saturday night and blows your ever-loving mind with glamazons working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Edie Cheezburger, a cast of premiere queens and special guests @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

DJ Lydia Prim brings the tribal beats to keep your weekend fun going that much longer @ Tokyo Valentino, 1 a.m. – 5 a.m.

DJ Dee Martello All Nighter. Bars close, but this place doesn’t. You never stop shaking your ass @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Sunday, Dec. 11

HSL Jingle Ball (bottom photo). It may be winter, but the gay jocks and jills of Hotlanta Softball League are missing their beer busts. Enter the holiday excuse to party and benefit Pride School Atlanta @ Woofs, 4 p.m.

Drag Brunch. presents the Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde (bottom photo) @ Blake's, 8 p.m.

Sunday Funday wraps your weekend just the way you like it: with all your gays plus DJs Rob Reum and Robert Ansley @ Ten Atlanta, 5 p.m. – midnight.

Party with Impact. It’s been 25 years since Positive Impact Health Centers began serving local guys with HIV. Celebrate and give @ Center for Civil & Human Rights, 7:30 p.m.

Armorettes. Atlanta’s camp drag crazies against HIV do their weekly good in the gayborhood @ Burkhart’s, 7:30 p.m.

CherryBomb. Wild Cherry Sucret returns to the weekly stage for “something hip and different,” including surprises each week @ Jungle, 8 p.m.

Tossed Salad. The magic and madness masterminded by Brigitte Bidet and her left-of-center queens @ Burkhart’s, 9:30 p.m.
