Three days of holiday mean red, white and blue theme parties in the LGBT ATL. All-weekend events, one-night only spectaculars and special guests line the path to your holi-gay weekend.

Friday, July 4

Atlanta Bear Fest (top photo) continues its four-day romp in pursuit of the hirsute. It really gets going on Friday with open bars, meals, pool parties, DJ beats and more @ Courtyard Northlake Marriott, through Sunday. Look for shuttles to bar nights at the Eagle, too.

The Other Show Fourth of July Explosion supersizes the most unique drag cabaret in town with its singularly creative cast who always blast your expectations, this week with a spectacular featuring special guest Extasy Grey @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m.

Ladies Lounge gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party and scores of women @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Boys Room. Nobody does gay in the ATL quite like the hip East Atlanta queers @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Fourth of July Pump pulls all the guys onto gay Atlanta’s hot man-on-man dance floor with DJ Mike Pope @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Men’s Night draws all the suburban gays to the yard for sexy OTP fun. It’s also customer appreciation night @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 10 p.m.

Femme Fatale with Destiny Brooks and Justice Tyana Taylor puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Daring Divas lays it on thick. Lena Lust, Sawnna Brooks, Lateasha Shuntel, Chavon Scott and Niesha Dupree. The crowd goes wild @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Got Leche? weekly gay Latin night features stage shows, dancing and more @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.


Saturday, July 5

Legendary Children: In Heat (second photo). The latest exhibit of this collision of drag and art gets you all hot and bothered with a one-night-only multi-media collaborative explosion of eight drag queens and nine other artists @ Mammal Gallery. Cocktails and art, 8 p.m. Dance party, 10 p.m. Read our “weird, nasty” interview.

Atlanta Bear Fest continues its four-day romp in pursuit of the hirsute. Open bars, meals, pool parties, DJ beats and more @ Courtyard Northlake Marriott, all day and through Sunday. Tonight includes one of the signature events, the Mr. Atlanta Bear & Cub crowns the daddy and his furry boy of the year @ Atlanta Eagle, 8 p.m.

Early Country & Late Night Dance offers line dancing and two stepping after the sun goes down, then DJ Mike Pope picks up the pace until close @ Heretic, 8 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Party Animal Weekend continues with no drag, no karaoke, just jams @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Independence Day Party & Birthday Bash says “Heeeey!” to the holiday weekend with a lesbian dance party and specials for all Cancer zodiac birthdays. These women know how to party @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

DJ Alex Cohen returns with his celebrated beats at gay Atlanta’s favorite Saturday dance party. Your red, white and blue attire is encouraged but not required. Get into the groove @ Jungle, 10:30 p.m. Get started early with Ruby’s Redd Light District, 9 p.m.

Synergy with Shawnna Brooks is the Saturday night show to rock your world @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

Sinful Saturday includes the Divas Cabaret and all kinds of other bar night fun for our suburban gays outside the perimeter @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 10 p.m.

DJ Mike Pope All Nighter moves your booty all the way to sunrise, just steps away from BJs, Heretic and Jungle. Never stop shaking your ass @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Sunday, July 6

Harness: Red Hot & Blue (bottom photo) with DJ Vicki Powell carries a Fourth of July theme to raise bucks with the sexy guys of the Ready 4 Hope team for AIDS Walk. Take off your shirt and dance in the Bckspce @ Jungle, 7 p.m.

Atlanta Bear Fest Farewell Cookout. DJ Eric pumps beats to wind down this four-day pursuit of the hirsute @ Atlanta Eagle, 5 p.m. – 12 midnight.

Babes for Boobs puts food and drinks on Atlanta’s lesbian Sunday to raise funds for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. Women come together @ Hobnob, 6 p.m.

High Energy & Cell Block Sunday. Get to gettin' with DJ Bill Berdeaux, 3 p.m., then the Cell Block drag show with Lateasha Shuntel, Raquell Lord, Shawnna Brooks, Nicole Paige Brooks and Taejah Thomas @ Blake's, 8 p.m.

The Armorettes present the troupe’s weekly show on its continuing mission to bring campy bawdy drag and donated tips to the HIV/AIDS fight in Atlanta @ Burkhart’s, 8 p.m.
