Friday, April 26
Fort Troff Hanky Code Party flashes back to gays gone by with color-coded fun that wears your proclivities on your sleeve, er, on your ass. Hosted by the hot men from sex toy peddlers Fort Troff and porn stars with hankies Trey Turner and Leo Forte (top photo) @ Mary’s, 9 p.m. In the meantime, study up on hanky codes.

Leslie Jordan (second photo) emcees the 4th Annual Thriving Children Atlanta Fashion Show & Gala with the Sentimental Journey Orchestra, special guests Laughing Pizza, a silent auction, food and drinks @ 200 Peachtree, 7 p.m.

AGLCC Fourth Friday Networking. Join those busy LGBT business owners and professionals of the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce for a workweek wind-down with munchies, cocktails and casual networking @ Vivid Salon, 5:30 p.m

Etcetera! Party returns to the straight-inclusive gAy-TL with art for show and sale. The gays who bring you Bedlam and Sing For Your Life throw this show with door, beer and wine donations going to the Jean Childs Young Middle School art program @ Plat4M Studios, 7 p.m.

“I Am Black Excellence” Conference presents the three-day National Youth Pride Services South Region Conference. This year’s event features Maurice Jamal @ Evolution Project, all weekend through Sunday.

Express Yourself 80s Prom is the 25th anniversary fundraising party for Actors Express, the gay-led, gay inclusive, gay as hell theater with quality as Job One. It’s hosted by writer, actor, theater queen and gadabout Topher Payne, so pull out the neon and rubber bracelets from the archives, tease those bangs and Relax, just do it @ King Plow Arts Center, 7:30 p.m.

Frisky Monkey (third photo), the duo featuring gay singer Juan Cezar, plays as part of this weekend’s roster for 500 Songs For Kids Foundation with a set @ The Loft at Center Stage, 7 p.m.

Dinner & A Movie with Jaye Lish kicks off Jungle’s Friday with a full menu, drink and meal specials, giveaways, surprises. This week, Best of the “Golden Girls” episodes on the big screen in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Then it’s The Other Show with Edie Cheezburger and cast continuing the Golden Girls theme with their show, 9:30 p.m. Now work it off with a move to the main room for Jungle University with DJ Christopher Kind @ Jungle, 11 p.m.

Can You Read? The Poetry in Toni Morrison. Black feminist poet priestess retrostalker and researcher Alexis Pauline Gumbs presents the first in a series exploring the works of legendary Random House editor Toni Morrison @ Charis Books & More, 7:30 p.m.

BanjeeGirl Friday gets your lesbian weekend started right with a DJ-driven dance party and all the ladies you can handle from the TraxxGirls promoters @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Saturday, April 27
Flag football (fifth photo) continues its spring season pitting the 10 gay teams of National Flag Football League of Atlanta in five games @ Boulevard Crossing Park, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., followed by the NFFLA & Friends Family Cookout and Punt Pass & Kick Competition.

Atlanta Sugarbakers Nunling Pageant. Queens compete in the first annual drag competition for the title of 1st Drag Queen Supporter of the Atlanta Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence @ Amsterdam, 7 p.m.

Indigie Femme bring their musical duo magic combination of indigenous cultures, powerful voices and Mother Earth respect to Atanta’s lesbian-feminist stalwarts @ Charis Books & More, 7:30 p.m.

That Time of the Month Comedy Show with queer comedians, 8 p.m., precedes the Wet Party & Lee Family Show including a wet t-shirt contest for the women who love women @ My Sister’s Room, 10 p.m.

Atlanta Bucks Purple Dress Run (sixth photo). It’s big, it’s purple, and you’re going to love it! The burly men of Atlanta’s gay Bucks rugby squad don purple dresses and run through Midtown from bar to bar. Starts at Mixx, goes to Blake’s and ends with a cookout at the Eagle. Step off @ Mixx, 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Check out our photos and video from last year, and tips on how to make it work.

Glitches & Bitches with East Point Possums. The benefit show of pros and amateurs to make you laugh and cheer while drinking up for Lost N Found youth is the last before their signature show in June. All tips and proceeds to the cause @ East Point Corner Tavern, 7 p.m.

Monica Van Pelt’s final Atlanta Show serves tribute realness for 18 years in ATL drag with the guest of honor who’s moving west plus Nicole Paige Brooks, Lauren LeMasters, Christian Valentino and Envy Van Michaels in a very special edition of the weekly Extravaganza show @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

UV Underwear Party: The Animal Edition with DJ Seth Cooper glows, girl! For this installment, bring ears, tails and other animal accessories to compliment your skivvies, and a glowpaint artist will do the rest (seventh photo). “Transitions” with author Tracee McDaniel presents readings from the new book by the Atlanta activist, writer and transgender visionary @ Unity Fellowship Church, 2:30 p.m.

AV200 Standup Comedy Hour invites everyone who supports the riders of the gay-led AIDS Vaccine 200 ride to come enjoy some laughs for the cause and add to the coffers of Emory Vaccine Center @ Ansley Park Playhouse, 2:15 p.m.

The Armorettes Turnabout Show finds the camp drag crazies performing as each other at this annual special event. Also look for Burkhart’s gang to get in on the action, plus special guests Mariah, Tierra Del Fuego and Justice Tyana Taylor @ Burkhart’s, 8 p.m. Get there early for Singalong Sundays and dining al fresco.
