Friday, Aug. 31
The Peach International Gay Tennis Tournament (top photo) is the 25th annual serve and volley event hosted by the gay and lesbian Atlanta Team Tennis Association @ DeKalb Tennis Center, all weekend.

Atlanta Black Gay Pride (second photo) continues with multiple parties, workshops, vendors and special guests all weekend today including opening ceremonies and annual Welcome to Atlanta Party @ Melia Hotel and other venues, all day and all weekend. Hotlanta Roundup gathers five days worth of LGBTs in recovery and those interested in finding out what recovery is all about under this year’s “Happy Destiny” theme @ Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center, through Tuesday.

Saturday, Sept. 1
Decatur Book Festival provides page-turners and authors all weekend and includes several gay writers and themes, including readings from “Divining Divas: 100 Gay Men on Their Muses” with local and national contributors @ Bound To Be Read Books, 11:15 a.m.

Atlanta Outworlders at Dragon*Con includes an LGBT meet and greet table and a gaming table for gay convention goers @ Sheraton Downtown Atlanta, all day and Sunday, too. Of course, Saturday is the annual Dragon*Con Parade (fifth photo) down Baker and Peachtree Streets, 10 a.m. Here’s how hunky and gay the parade is.

Atlanta Black Gay Pride continues with parties, workshops, vendors and special guests all weekend @ Melia Hotel and other venues, all day.
