You’ve been biding your time patiently with all that weekday so-called “life” stuff. Now’s the time to let loose and get a real life with the LGBT events that make gay Atlanta’s world go round. Dig in.

Friday, Sept. 27
“Choir Boy” (second photo) continues its heralded run of this play about a teen coming to grips with his fabulosity while navigating prep school @ Alliance, 8 p.m. Runs through Oct. 13.

AGLCC Fourth Friday invites gay professionals to network and wind down the week once a month with Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. This time, catch up for happy hour @ Zocalo, 5:30 p.m.

Simchat Torah celebrates the Jewish text with readings, dancing and a dinner with the gay-founded, gay-led Congregation Bet Haverim @ CUCC, 6:30 p.m.

Jerusalem House Big Deck Party with the Glass Slipper. Benefit the gay-favorite charity with your cocktail dollars. Your entry goes toward gay Atlanta’s biggest Halloween Party “Fairy Tales” next month. DJ Sean Mac, bottomless martinis and the allure of the patio guys (third photo) @ Henry’s, 5:30 p.m.

Queens on the Screen: “Flawless” screens the touching LGBT film classic for free. Honor National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day with the fine folks of Georgia Equality and AID Atlanta @ Rush Center, 7 p.m.

“Prayers For Bobby” screens for Civil Rights Movie Nights @ Saint Mark UMC, 7 p.m.

Antigone Rising and Richard Bicknell make it a queer night in live music. Separate shows first see the return of the former (fourth photo) with A Fragile Tomorrow in tow. The latter welcomes gay Atlanta’s own back to the stage @ Eddie’s Attic, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Dinner & A Movie: “Paris Is Burning” kicks off Jungle’s Friday with dragster Jaye Lishe, a different screening each week, and great menu specials in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sit. Stay. It’s time for The Other Show: Pride Night & Then Some cast and guests, 9:30 p.m. Watch their brand of crazy.

FactorE with Cyber Raver pumps electronic dance beats into your body @ Jungle, 10 p.m.

Swank is the monthly women’s fandango at the hotspot on the corner of Gay and Lesbian. Ladies get ready for the Anna Ragghianti-approved throwdown with Pride Heaven and L Lounge ticket giveaways @ 10th & Piedmont, 10 p.m. Here’s how they roll.

BanjeeGirl Friday: Libra Bash gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party and all the ladies you can handle with the TraxxGirls promoters @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.


Saturday, Sept. 28
Southern Softpaw League pitches and catches with the gay fall softball jocks. Come for the guys, stay for … well stay for the guys too @ Southside Park, noon. Post-Games Beer Bust hosted this week by the Longshots team @ Opus, 4 p.m.

For The Kid Margarita Bust (seventh photo) benefits those giving gays who bring you Toy Party with a patio party on the grounds of one of revitalized gay 10th Streets hottest hot spots @ Ten, 4 p.m.

Gay Men’s Chorus Beer Bust celebrates the 33rd concert season of the local favorites with bottomless brew, Jell-O and pudding shots, cash drawing and much, much more. It all goes to Pride and AGMCs Encore committee @ Joe’s, 1 p.m.

CHRIStal Ball hauls out its tuxedos and gown to gala the night away to benefit the LGBT-inclusive CHRIS Kids, this year with former mayor Shirley Franklin @ Georgia Aquarium, 6 p.m.

“Legendary Children” (top photo) is the nationally buzzed photography exhibit featuring your favorite Atlanta drag queens in high-concept shoots. Meet the shutterbugs and the models and see what all that drama was about for yourself. Swanky closing reception hosted by Nicole Paige Brooks @ gallery1526, 7 p.m. Don't forget the Legendary Children Afterparty @ Mary's, 11 p.m.

Cirque du Cabaret La Suite (eighth photo) is the latest free-for-all from the Bedlam party series. Performers on silks, aerial, pole and more join other entertainment while you and your look bump to beats by DJ Shane V @ Jungle, 10:30 p.m. They cirque du so gay. Come early for dinner, drinks and a great show with the girls of Ruby’s Redd Light District in the Jungle Room, 9:30 p.m.

Out On Film Pre-Party means it’s that time of year. Atlanta’s LGBT film festival is nigh, and they’re celebrating with DVD and ticket giveaways. Feature film trailer vids get you in the mood @ Burkhart’s, 8 p.m. Check out the sexiest hunks of Out On Film 26.

90s Throwback Night puts the TLC dreams in motion for all the women who love women who love a retro dance night. Shows, surprises and tunes from a decade gone by @ My Sister’s Room, 10 p.m. Come early for It’s That Time of the Month Comedy, 8 p.m.

Frogs Fall Fiesta brings together the power of a beer bust and all its trimmings with the party power of the Atlanta Titans (10th photo). Do what these gay jocks to best and join them with a DJ and other surprises @ Frogs, 4 p.m.

Lambda Legal Atlanta Garden Party celebrates the victories and looks down the road ahead for LGBT court battles. Cocktails and appetizers, 3 p.m. Tickets and more info.

Joining Hearts Check Presentation Party fetes another year of success with the charitable guys who bring us gay Atlanta’s biggest summer pool party. The fruits of their all-year parties go to Jerusalem House and AID Atlanta today, with cocktails of course @ Steel, 6 p.m.

Jennifer Holliday (bottom photo) brings her singular talents back to the Atlanta stage for a Broadway in the Garden concert  plus a post-show meet and greet in association with the gay-run Actors Express Theater @ Atlanta Botanical Garden, 6:30 p.m.

Harness lays down a “No Shirt, No Cover” party to shake up your Sunday. Strap in and strap up because it’s that kind of a night, this week with DJ Scott Anthony, in the new bckspce @ Jungle, 6 p.m. – midnight.

Flashback Showgirls is the drag show that takes you back, all the way back to a new decade each week. Lady Shabazz leads the cast @ 10th & Piedmont, 8 p.m.
