Friday, Aug. 5

Olympics Games Opening Ceremonies. Every bar with a TV probably has it on – Um hello, Team USA in Rio (top photo) – but the watch party is raised to an artform at Amsterdam, 7:30 p.m., Blake's and Woofs, 8 p.m. Speaking of Team USA, don't miss this swim jock. And the Olympic hotties aren't just from the U.S. Check out this foreign trade.

“Company.” Gay composer Stephen Sondheim’s musical that changed musicals forever opens its run @ Actor’s Express, 8 p.m. Runs through Sept. 4.

808 Fest. Four days of Bass Music encompasses EDM, Trance, Trap, Hip Hop and more at multiple Midtown and Edgewood venues, starting tonight @ Music Room, 8 p.m.

Baddest Bitch 3. The latest queer icons tribute goes to Roisin Murphy when you come hang out with the cool kids @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

The Other Show. Come to the unique weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast and special guests that always pack a surprise @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m

Friday T. DJ Kevin Durard bumps this week’s man-on-man dance party @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Onyx SE Anniversary Party. The monthly bar night with this leather group for men of color celebrates another year @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Deadly Vixens puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 9 p.m.

Femme Fatale puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Friday Night Dance Party. Another weekly way to kick off your weekend just hit 10th Street. See what you can get into @ G’s, 10 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Crush Friday turns up the volume on its weekly gay Latin party with stage shows and dancing into the wee hours @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Foreplay Afterhours with DJ Cosmo keeps you dancing late. Really late @ Tokyo Valentino, 1 a.m. – 4 a.m.


Saturday, Aug. 6

Bearracuda. DJ HiFi Sean flies in from London to helm this rendition of one of the most popular dance parties (middle photo) @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Rugby 101. It’s time to start thinking fall with the Atlanta Bucks. Training and a big welcome for all skill levels, including no experience at all @ Boulevard Crossing Park, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. “Third Half” Social follows @ Woofs, 2 p.m.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of tonight’s party @ Mary’s, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during Gurlfrandz: Mary’s is Bern-ing, 9 p.m. It’s a fundraiser for this beloved friend in need.

HSL End of Season Party. Hotlanta Softball League sends off its Gay Softball World Series teams with beer, shots and more @ Heretic, 3 p.m.

Gurlfrandz: Mary's is Bern-ing Fundraiser. The crew of this monthly drag show is helping raise money for Bernadette Patterson, a bartender unable to work as she fights medical problems. Raffle, drag and more @ Mary's, 9 p.m.

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Edie Cheezburger, a cast of premiere queens and special guests @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

DJ Alex Cohen All Nighter. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough. Dance until you need sunglasses to leave @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

DJ Lydia Prim. She brings the tribal beats to keep your weekend fun going that much longer @ Tokyo Valentino, 1 a.m. – 4 a.m.


Sunday, Aug. 7

Wild World Series Sendoff. The Atlanta Wild (bottom photo) toasts its teams going to Austin for the Gay Softball World Series. Beer bust, Jell-O shots and raffles @ Oscars, 3 p.m.

AV200 Closing Party. A big ol’ check goes out to the Emory Vaccine Center from the bikers who rode across North Georgia in May. Celebrate with cocktails @ Gallery 874, 2 p.m.

Sunday Funday wraps your weekend just the way you like it: with all your gays plus DJs Rob Reum and Robert Ansley @ Ten Atlanta, 5 p.m. – midnight.

Drag Brunch presents the Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast @ Blake's, 8 p.m.

Armorettes. Atlanta’s camp drag crazies against HIV do their weekly good in the gayborhood @ Burkhart’s, 7:30 p.m.
