Put some sexy guys (and even a gal) into a wading pool on stage to get dirty and you respond — big time — by helping Team Friendly Atlanta raise more than $7,000 at its launch party on Saturday.
The soapy, dirty fun included a host of Atlanta personalities — from stinky shoe porn actor Charlie Harding to ManShaft ginger DJ Diablo Rojo, HIV activist and leather hunk Chandler Bearden (top photo) to aerial artist Melissa Coffey — to raise funds and awareness for the new group. Team Friendly formed late last year to reduce HIV stigma and fight the disease.
On Saturday at Jungle, their raucous coming out party offered the crowd a chance to bid to get their favorite personality dirty. And then bid again to wash them clean. The group also collected donations for Lost N Found Youth, which cares for homeless LGBT teens.
Team Friendly tweeted the fundraising total on Sunday.
Thanks to everyone that supported the TFA Drop the Soap party. The board of TFA is humbled we raised $7,000! THANKS! twitter.com/TeamFriendlyAT…
