They've done Kylie. They've done Mardi Gras. And they always do Joining Hearts. So the gays of TakeOver did just that on Friday in Midtown to libate their way into a big gay weekend.

TakeOver — the creation of friends Adam Ellis, Ken Folds, Mark Gathen and Ryan Hughes — did a Joining Hearts pre-party last year, too. This time around, DJ Kirk Angell provided the beats.

The Joining Hearts Weekend of boys, booze and charity also included a kick-off with DJ Micky Friedmann at Heretic on Friday and the main event pool party on Saturday at Piedmont Park.
