Sundays with Mother are much gayer at The Hideaway

A little rain can’t keep anyone away from going home to visit their mother on a Sunday. That goes double when your host is Jay “Mother” Malloy and the home is the Hideaway.

This week, the Ansley Mall neighborhood bar was the perfect place for an afternoon of leather men, softball boys and every gay in between there to “Spill the T with Mother.” The weekly event each Sunday afternoon features drink specials, DJ Rob Reum and of course, Malloy (top photo center).

Our photographer (gallery below) caught the fun as the sun got ready to set, which at Hideaway means Honey Pot Bear Night every Sunday.

The bar spearheaded the collaboration of Ansley-area businesses hosting Pride Weekend events in Atlanta. Pride ATL: Pride Is All Around Us takes place Oct. 8-10 at Hideaway, Woofs, Guac y Margys, Felix’s, Oscar’s and Midtown Moon. Events include the Atlanta Eagle Reunion on Oct. 8.
