Sweet! Sunday isn’t the day before work, so there’s extra incentive to check out LGBT events. Black Gay Pride continues, plus a ton more offerings from early gatherings through late night parties.
• Keep it going. Like the Energizer bunny, 24 Black Gay Pride Sunday Events (top photo) – brunches, poetry slams, balls, fashion shows, religious services and of course, parties – keep the weekend-long celebration rolling @ multiple venues, 10 a.m. – 4 a.m.
• Best of the fests. Art in the Park @ Marietta Square’s Glover Park, all day, and the Atlanta Queer Lit Fest Track includes three programs today @ Decatur Book Fest, starting at 1:15 p.m.
• Drink in the day. Brunch then T-Dance @ LeBuzz, 12:30 p.m. – 6 p.m., MEAT! Labor Day Weekend Party @ Oscars, 1 p.m., and the last Sunday T Rooftop Pool Party of 2011 @ Melia Hotel, 2 p.m.
• Get out and stay out. The revamped MixHer Sunday II @ Bellissima, 6 p.m., The Armorettes welcome special guests Shenita Quit & King Leo @ Burkhart’s, 7 p.m., and DJ Alexander (bottom photo) @ the Heretic, 10 p.m.
There are even more things to do on today’s Gay Agenda. View the full list on Project Q Atlanta’s interactive community calendar. You can also submit your own events.
