Social Tuesdays gets ‘Silky’ smooth

imageSocial Tuesdays went high-rise this week with an event themed to go hand-in-hand with Inauguration Day festivities across the country.

A vibrant crowd filled Silk, which sits inside the Metropolis in Midtown, for an evening of celebration on Jan. 20. It was, after all, a day focused on installing a new president. The organizers of the weekly social networking group didn’t miss a beat, titling the evening an Inauguration Celebration. Networkers took note, with a few sporting Obama memorabilia and T-shirts.

The evening was also a showcase for the posh and expansive Silk, a 5,300-square-foot space that anchors Metropolis, a 497-unit tower that opened in 2002 and was one of the first pieces of a soon-to-be revitalized Peachtree and Midtown that later added several other condo high rises.
