With Midtown condo high-rises surrounding them, Social Tuesdays moved into Silk Restaurant on Peachtree Street this week.
That stretch of Peachtree provides one of the best examples of the new livability hitting Midtown, with residential units next to retail outlets, restaurants and entertainment venues. In fact, the area is being pitched by civic boosters as the Midtown Mile, a vision for a 14-block stretch of Peachtree Street that calls for a shopping destination modeled after Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and New York City’s Madison Avenue.
With its more than 5,300 square feet of space, Silk provides a menu of steak, lobster and sushi with an Asian flair as the cornerstone of the Metropolis building in the heart of the Midtown Mile. Soft lighting and world music combines with the culinary delights to create an inviting atmosphere. So, too, does an extensive wine list.
