VIEW MORE | Hippies & Sisters Yard Sale @ First Existentialist
Mix some hippies with a few sisters and bring them together in a church hall with an eclectic collection of items and you’ve got yourself a one-of-a-kind yard sale.
The Order of the Flaming Sugarbakers — taking a break from intergalactic love affairs, health fairs and Pride-ful kickball — joined with the First Existentialist Congregation in Candler Park on Saturday for the Hippies & Sisters Yard Sale. Funds from the sale benefitted both organizations.
Items for sale ranged from Spider-Man underwear to a rainbow-clad Statue of Liberty, a larger-than-life wreath and even furniture.
Up next for First Existentialist: It screens “A Jihad for Love” during its Third Friday Film Series on April 15. The documentary explores gay and lesbian Muslims. The Sisters host the Requisition Cook Out & Public Floggin’ for Dollars on May 7 at the Eagle.
