Show your love for Project Q Atlanta

Like a good ACORN campaign, we’re all for stuffing some ballot boxes. You know, that’s the group the GOP charged with voter fraud during the presidential campaign last year.

OK, so maybe you missed the reference. How about this: We like a good stuffing of the ballot box just like the boys at Tammany Hall. Don’t know that one, either. Really? So much for the political science degree we earned in college.

We digress, so let’s be simple and clear: Project Q Atlanta needs your help in getting nominated as Best Gay Blog in the ongoing voting for Southern Voice’s Best of Gay Atlanta issue.

We’re not ashamed of asking for your nomination, either. Most places vying for spots on the final ballot aren’t shy in orchestrating campaigns, so why should we? There are bunches and bunches of choices to nominate your favorites under five general categories: Dining, Community, Nightlife, People and Internet. The latter is where you will find the slot for us: Best Gay Blog.

So cast your vote by Monday, as that’s when the nominations close. In fact, cast your vote today and again each day through Monday — you can vote once a day. The top three in each area get included in the final ballot, which is scheduled to go live on the SoVo site Tuesday.

We’re hoping the powers that be at the paper appreciate the extra traffic we’re sending their way and won’t discard our nomination. We hear some folks at SoVo HQ don’t care too much for us.
