Few topics draw more attention than a fluffed, naked Rodiney Santiago. Or his frequent visits to gay Atlanta. Or him with hot gay A-listers living and working here. Or a crowdfunding campaign. “More Scenes from a Gay Marriage” has all of that and more.
With resident gay Atlanta cutie Jared Allman (“Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys,” et al), Out on Film darling Charlie David, and “A-List: New York” alum Santiago, filmmaker Matt Riddlehoover revisits his 2012 hit “Scenes from a Gay Marriage.” But before we can see what happened next to the movie-in-a-movie main characters, they’re going to need a little assistance.
That’s where you come in. The film’s been shot, but post-production costs require funds. The $5,000 required for a happy ending has been met, but eight days to go in the campaign means you can help take the film further, including submissions for consideration at upcoming film festivals like Atlanta’s Out On Film. Watch the “making of” video above to get a taste of what’s coming, then go donate to get involved and receive thank you prizes.
A long time favorite in his briefs and less, Santiago last caught up with us in Atlanta when he was the focus of ATL gay-lister Richie Arpino’s 2014 calendar. He plays Allman’s trick in the movie, and we snapped them together at the event (right photo and here).
The success of the original film bodes well for your investment. If your retention for trivia is better than most, you know that this effort is much like last year’s campaign to make a Georgia-filmed Riddlehoover movie. And like that as-yet-unrealized project, this film doesn't include internet personality Chris Crocker. Though it does include Allman and Santiago looking like this:
