imageWhether you kicked it off early or not, Labor Day Weekend is officially here. The day is all on you. The LGBT events are on us. Check out today’s list of tournaments, festivals, celebrations and special guests.

Heating up. The LGBT Peach International Tennis Championships (top photo) continue @ DeKalb Tennis Center, through 7 p.m.

Black Gay Pride. Official Saturday events at the host hotel include a health expo, workshops, Community Luncheon, the “See Us In The Life Film Festival, and a literary café @ Loews Buckhead, through 5 p.m. and don’t forget The State of Black Gay America Summit @ Marriott Buckhead, 11 a.m. See today’s Black Gay Pride listings for all 19 gatherings and parties elsewhere and well into the night.

image LGBT literati. It lasts all day and all weekend, but the Decatur Book Festival’s Queer Track of Authors for Saturday includes David Groff, Charles Jensen and Rakesh Satyal, through 4 p.m., and don’t miss Elliott Mackle with “Hot Off the Presses” (second photo, read a preview), 1:30 p.m.

Play time. See who will be queen in “Pageant: The Musical” @ 14th Street Playhouse, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and the final weekend for “Shopping and F**king” @ Onstage Atlanta, 8 p.m.
Women rock. The State Of band featuring Steph Taylor & Nabedi Osorio (third photo), 8:30 p.m., followed by Twist Saturday @ Bellissima, 10 p.m., plus Reality Bites with”Real L Word’s” Mikey @ My Sisters’ Room, 10 p.m.

Geek out, freak out and be proud. Atlanta’s own sci-fi group puts the gay in Dragon*Con. OutlantaCon’s Dragon*Con Rainbow Flag Party tonight @ Sheraton Ballroom, 10 p.m.
