Rugby jocks Ruck-A-Buck for Pride [photos]

Local gay rugby team the Atlanta Bucks revived a Pride tradition last week by rubbing up against other burly jocks in its Pride Ruck-A-Buck mini tournament on Atlanta Pride Saturday.

When they weren’t running a booth at the festival in Piedmont Park, the Bucks were welcoming the St. Louis Crusaders and Charlotte Royals for some rough-and-ready rucking and mauling on the pitch at Walden Middle School on Oct. 13.

The official results as each team played each other show the Bucks taking the Crusaders 33-8 and tying the Royals 10-10. Charlotte took St. Louis 26-0. But the unofficial results show fun had by all.

How can you tell? Following the games, the “Third Half” Pride Party at Mixx Atlanta provided the teams with plenty of adult refreshments, drinking games, and even some casual stripping. When the sun went down, the Bucks hit the Eagle. Happy Pride! indeed.
