Get the Richie Arpino treatment and you’re guaranteed attention, whether it’s for great hair or seductive photos. Just ask the men who make the cut for his annual charity publication.
Arpino, a gay Atlanta stylist and photographer, launched his new book ‘Men in Black | White’ at Outwrite Bookstore Dec. 3. The book, a black and white work full of male models in sexy spreads, is a twist on Arpino’s annual calendar fundraiser for breast cancer charities. For the last five years, it’s been a calendar and the last version of that provided 12 months of men in, around or splashed with water.
A portion of the proceeds benefits Breast Friends, a cancer support network.
Arpino and two models included in the book signed copies and posed for photos last Thursday at the Outwrite event. One of the models, local DJ Jay McCracken (bottom photo), is a regular in Arpino’s work. Also on hand were Mitchell Anderson, Arpino’s partner, and actress Amanda Bearse.
By the way, Arpino’s portfolio also includes sexy shots of Bert Weiss, the Q100 jock and host of the popular morning drive-time “Bert Show.” Those made the rounds about this time last year.
