When dyke of deliciousness Ria Pell won the reality TV food competition “Chopped” last month, she celebrated with supporters at Sauced. Now, she’s chopping that restaurant this week.

Pell made the surprise announcement on Wednesday, explaining that an offer she couldn’t refuse prompted her to sell the Edgewood Avenue restaurant to a foodie she met during her “Chopped” watch party. Exit Sauced; enter Chef Bruce Logue’s Italian-American concept Bocca Lupo.

“It’s definitely bittersweet to have such great success and then close our doors, but another door is surely opening on the horizon,” Pell says in a prepared statement. “I’m so proud of what were able to convey with Sauced, showcasing locally grown food, imaginative and inspired cocktails, in a sexy, comfy setting with incredible music.”

Sauced hosts “Last Suppers of Sauced” nightly through Sunday and a 3rd (and final) anniversary and farewell party on Dec. 29. Then it’s a much-needed vacation for Pell, partner Kiki Carr and other family members to Denmark. She hinted during “Chopped” that she’d use the $10,000 prize for such a junket.

After, it’s a return to her popular breakfast joint Ria’s Bluebird and laying the groundwork for her next concept, beachside.

“We’ve got no regrets here, because we’ve grown so much over the past 4 years, and hope to continue to serve delicious food wherever our hearts take us. We wish Bruce the best of luck, and know his team will make Inman Park proud,” Pell adds.
