imageA smackdown between NeNe Leakes and Reichen Lehmkuhl would prove entertaining, but it wasn’t in the cards when the beefy gay reality star hit Atlanta over the weekend.

Lehmkuhl (photo) and Leakes debut their respective reality shows on Monday – the sassy, gay-loving housewife in the third season of Bravo’s hit “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and the former Air Force officer in Logo’s “The A-List New York.” Lehmkuhl stopped at Out on Film on Saturday to pitch the Logo series, where he’s one of six gay men in the first-of-its-kind reality show that’s modeled after Bravo’s “Housewives.”

He had this simple message: Move over, bitches. We’re here, queer and we’re “housewives” with balls.

“There is a lot drama, a lot of testosterone, a lot of sexually charged situations,” Lehmkuhl says between two film screenings at Out on Film.

Lehmkuhl knows about reality shows: He and then-partner Chip Arndt won season four of “The Amazing Race.” The two later split and Lehmkuhl then hooked up with pop singer Lance Bass for a bit in 2006.

But there was no star-crossed gossip Saturday. Lehmkuhl was on message, focused on “A-List” and his latest efforts on the small screen.

“Tune in to get entertained. This is the first show of its kind,” he says. “If you are looking to go into this show to say ‘A-List New York’ is going to represent the entire gay community, please don’t do that. We are just six guys. There is now way we can possibly represent the entire gay community. Watch it for entertainment reasons.”

His pitch about the show, which later included doing radio interviews in his underwear — he talked with us in jeans and a t-shirt — was well received. Lehmkuhl tweeted this Saturday:

Atlanta boys love The A-List New York trailers that played in the movie theaters at the Film Festival! They laughed, howled, and clapped!
