Ready 4 Hope hunks party with purpose poolside

Those sexy Ready 4 Hope guys, always willing to pull on their harness, chow down on barbecue or slip into their swimsuits, partied poolside for a cause on Saturday.

The gays who cocktail love a good pool party. And Saturday's event in southeast Atlanta helped raise thousands for Ready 4 Hope, which supports the group's team in the AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K, which is set for Oct. 19. That, in turn, benefits AID Atlanta and the walk's other HIV-related beneficiaries.

Final figures are still being tallied, but organizers said Sunday the event raised an estimated $12,000. There were tunes from DJ Neon, cocktails, boys in skimpy swimsuits, messages, a drag queen, a muscle daddy in a singlet and aerial aerobics. It's all a festive warm up for the main event – a weekend of events set for Sept. 12-14 at the Heretic, Jungle and Xion.
