Rainbow Trout dives into holiday spirit [photos]

Nothing says Happy Holidays quite like splish splashing around a pool with the Atlanta Rainbow Trout during their annual swim meet.

Some 145 participants were on hand Saturday at Georgia Tech’s swim facility for the Trout’s St. Nick’s Meet, a competitive event that also features lighter moments. That comes with the Reindeer Relay, which features swimmers with oversized holiday ornaments competing against one another. It’s not as easy as it might seem.

Though it’s hosted by the city’s gay and lesbian swim club, the St. Nick’s Meet draws both gay and straight competitors. More than 170 people took part in the event last year.
