Prepare yourself for a rockabilly, queer infused funeral procession and celebration of Ria Pell (photo right), the dyke of deliciousness who died last weekend.

Pell’s partner, Kiki Carr (photo center), announced Wednesday plans for a funeral procession and services that begin Saturday morning. Think hot rods and a queer sensibility to match Pell’s, the owner of Ria’s Bluebird who died of an apparent heart attack on Sunday.

Hello we would like to say thank you for your thoughts and for respecting the family and friends privacy at this time of such great loss.

Ria Pell's funeral will be Saturday at noon at

Westview Cemetary

1680 Ralph David Abernathy SW, Atlanta, GA 30310

(404) 755-6611

The procession will start to line up at Ria's Bluebird at 9:30am to go to Cemetary.

Bring your Hot Rods to line up at front early.

Formal Rockabilly and Queer attire encouraged.

Ria’s Bluebird opened on Wednesday morning for the first time since Pell’s death. It will then close again until Monday.

UPDATE | Friends have set up a memorial fund for Pell. There's also a place to share thoughts and memories about Pell, as well as find out additional details about the service.
