Q mag offers fall downtime as a dish best served queer

Fall in the LGBTQ ATL presents a busy slate, but for most of us, at least part of it will be downtime and screen time. This week’s Q sorts some of the queer-er options for the screens we just can't seem to put down.

For your e-reader, our 10 Queer Things feature scours the infinite, downloadable library for literary escapes into LGBTQ history that are anything but boring old textbooks. On your phone, the Q advice column tackles that messy drunk text you sent, and Vince Shifflett performs surgery on the priorities in that calendar app you can't put down in Q Voices.

But for better or worse, the screens everyone’s really talking about this fall are on your TV. Between broadcast networks, cable channels and streaming services, we pick out some of the best queer characters to watch in the new season of shows. From cover guy Jussie Smollett to an out asexual cartoon character, the first transgender superhero and beyond, we have channel surfing covered.

We finish you off with the latest Q Shots photos, the Queer Agenda calendar of events, and The Q advice column.
