Q goes mining for fall, sees red and harvests queer Atlanta gold

Post-Pride in the LGBTQ-ATL is no time to rest on our laurels. Atlanta has places to go and people to see, and Q remains steadfastly dedicated to bringing you all of it.

A week after thousands stomped the same grounds, AIDS Walk Atlanta hits Piedmont Park on Oct. 21, and our 10 Queer Things feature highlights this year's beneficiaries. AIDS Walk also serves as just one cornerstone in this week’s packed Queer Agenda calendar.

Our cover feature takes inspo from AIDS Walk Week too. We mix the red theme liberally with monochrome runway trends, shake vigorously with pleather and faux fur, present it in a wheat-field flourish, and fall fashion is served.

You'll also find Q Voices, Q News, Q Shots galleries, and The Q advice column, as well as this week's introduction of our new biweekly feature called Q&A. The new column by our own Patrick Saunders profiles queer locals you should know. First up, artist, activist and advocate Johnnie Ray Kornegay III and his multi-faceted, intersectional life and vision.

Keep doing amazing things in queer Atlanta, y’all, and Q will keep shouting them from the rooftops. Hit me up with your feedback and ideas at [email protected].
