imageThere’s nothing quite like celebrating an anniversary with friends, so Project Q Atlanta joined with Atlanta Pride and Out on Film for a happy hour Friday punctuated with tunes from lesbian-rific DJ Vicki Powell.

Project POP at the upscale Midtown spot Aurum was an occasion with a trio of purposes: celebrate Project Q’s second anniversary and look ahead to Out on Film, which opens next week, and Atlanta Pride, which is just around the corner.

And celebrate we did with a festive crowd of about 100 people and enough cake and cocktails to warrant our own special episode of “Thintervention” with lesbian trainer Jackie Warner. Thankfully, she didn’t show.

imageThere were even gift bags filled with lots of useful swag. Special thanks to several local businesses that donated to the bags: Brushstrokes, High Museum of Art, Georgia Aquarium, Lifeforward and the Hope Clinic, Swinging Richards, Carma Productions and Gayborhood, Mix It Marketing, Prima Printing Indulgence and Piedmont Bark. Pride and Out on Film also stuffed select bags with some goodies.
