imageAtlanta Pride Committee teamed with TransQueer Nation for this year’s Trans March in Piedmont Park on Oct. 9. After a rally, participants walked through the park en masse to show their Pride.

TransQueer Nation’s Tristan Skye (top photo, left) and others spoke to the gathered group of nearly 40 people about solidarity, public acceptance and acceptance of oneself.

The crowd–carrying handmade signs with personal messages as well as message and group banners–then marched from the Meadow Overlook through the market area and over the bridge to the Pavilion Beer Garden, where an afterparty mixer was held.
