imageBefore the Pride parade, hundreds of people and organizations prepare to march along Peachtree and through Midtown by staging their floats and displays along West Peachtree Street.

A buzz of activity early Sunday morning turned more frantic as the 1 p.m. step-off drew closer. There were drag queens putting on their final touches, sports groups assembling their floats and cuties stripping down.

Mayor Kasim Reed walked through the staging area when he arrived for the parade’s start, one of several elected officials taking part in the annual march.
